Each month, we share upcoming events, new blog posts, games, and resources to support brain health through play. Whether you’re a parent, caregiver, or educator, keep reading for research-backed ideas to help build strong brains.

Building Brains October News

We have launched our NEW Adolescence Education Series. This FREE online course is designed for you to move through at your own pace. After completing all four modules, participants will receive a certificate of completion.

Brain Games starts at the end of October at Nord-Bridge Seniors Centre. Everyone 55+ is welcome to register for this free program.

Every year we have a team of remarkable Building Brains volunteers and summer students. One of the greatest joys of our work is seeing where students go and the incredible things they accomplish. Maya has been no exception—her journey has been inspiring, and her contributions to Building Brains have been invaluable. We are proud of her and grateful for her years of volunteering and dedicated work.

Registration is open for Strengthening the Aging Brain starting at YMCA mid October. This FREE six week program is open to anyone 55+.

OUT IN THE COMMUNITY

Building Brains Together with Nature is being offered in partnership with Helen Schuler Nature Centre. This 6 week program filled up very quickly and has been an engaging mix of presentations and brain building activities for older adults.

BBT ran a field trip with our Lethbridge Housing Outdoor Play Program families to the University of Lethbridge Tripleheader.

Word On The Street, Lethbridge Polytechnic Wellness Fair, Strengthening the Aging Brain at Nord Bridge Seniors Centre, the ATTACH program at Lethbridge Pregnancy Care, and Truth & Reconciliation events were just some of the ways we engaged with community in September.
